Create & publish a brief

Briefs are created through a guided wizard.

Key details

Section titled “Key details”
  1. Name and short description.
  2. Description: the program overview reporters see first.
  3. Rules of engagement: what’s allowed and what isn’t.
  4. Submission policy: how to write a useful report.
  5. FAQ: common questions and answers.
  6. Assets: attach the in-scope assets for this brief.
  7. Policies: link relevant policies so reporters see your terms alongside the form.
  8. Branding: logo, banner, brand colors (hex), and fonts.

Options

Section titled “Options”
  • Hosting mode: like policies, briefs can be self_hosted (hosted by Disclose Bot), on a custom_domain, or embedded.

Publishing

Section titled “Publishing”

Publishing makes the brief live at its public URL and able to accept submissions. Each brief has a stable shortcode used in its public URL and API lookups. You can unpublish to stop accepting reports.
